The Most Effective Way to Describe Rideshare Work on Your Resume The Most Effective Way to Describe Rideshare Work on Your Resume Including your rideshare driving experience on your resume is an excellent way to showcase your skill set. The main challenge is translating your rideshare experience into applicable skills foryour new job. This articlewill help you turn your experience driving for Uber or Lyft into valuable resume content. Why You Should Include Rideshare Experience on Your ResumeWhencrafting their resumes, many drivers debate whether to include their rideshare gigs.I believe that they should. There are many benefits that come with including your rideshare history on a resume. For example, it shows you are entrepreneurial. After all, your were running your own business as a rideshare driver. Including your rideshare work will also plug any gaps in your work history - which can be major red flags to recruiters and employers.Just as important as the decision to include yo ur rideshare work ishow you present that experience. Youll want to highlight the skills you gained and how they can be applied to a new role. For example, if you are applying for a sales position, focus on the customer tafelgeschirr skills you developed while working as a rideshare driver. How to Best Present Your Rideshare ExperienceKeep in mind there are more aspects of rideshare workthan most employers might realize. It is important tobe explicit so that none of your skills go overlooked. One example of an overlooked ridesharing skill is bookkeeping. If youve ever tracked mileage, noted expenses, and/or documented your income, you have experience as a bookkeeper. Multitasking is another skill that often goes overlooked in rideshare workers.Lets take a detailed look at the duties of a rideshare driver and discuss how the related skills can be highlighted on a resume. While youre reading through this list, try to think of specific times whenyou performed ansicht duties or used these s kills yourself. This will help down the line when an interviewer asks for examples.1. Efficiently Transporting PassengersSuccessful drivers are efficient drivers, because efficiency means higher profits for a rideshare driver. Some examples of efficiency that can be included on a resume are- Optimizing vehicle position to reduce wait times-Changing schedules to drive during peak times to take advantage of surge pricing- Planning routes that go by the cheapest gas stations tominimize costsHighlighting your efficiency shows that you are good at planning and organizing your daily routine. It also shows that you find innovative ways to maximize earnings and dont waste time.2. Customer ServiceRideshare drivers interact with customers every single day. Employers love seeing customer service and other people skills on a resume. If possible, provide a specific example of how youve demonstrated customer service in your resume or cover letter. For instance, mention the time you dealt with a he avily intoxicated passenger. The ability to deal with aggressive customers is essential in some professions, like security guard or bartender. It also might be worth mentioning your ability to stay level-headed during a besucherzahlen jam or emergency. Most people lose their cool when traffic gets bad. Noting that you are able to remain rational lets the employer know you are dependable in tough situations. One great thing about highlighting customer service skills on your resume is that these skills are quantifiable As a rideshare driver, you receive reviews and ratings after every ride. If you have a very high ratingandglowing reviews, prominently displays those on your resume.3. Maintaining a Clean and Presentable VehicleNot only is maintaining a cleanvehicle a sign of professionalism, but it alsoshows youpay attention to detail.Furthermore,it demonstrates that you can be trusted with expensive equipment. If you are applying for a job as a machine operator on a construction site or in a warehouse with expensive equipment, this might be a particularlyvaluable addition to your resume.4. BookkeepingAs mentioned above, eignung employersrarely consider the business side of ridesharing. Most people have no idea how much work goes into running a successful rideshare operation. As a rideshare driver, you are an independent contractor. You are your own boss, and you run your own business. That means that you are responsible for tracking expenses, reporting income, and filing taxes.Tracking mileage and expenses is essential to receiving the largest possible tax deduction. This skill is transferable to any occupation. If the job requires numbers of any kind - and what job doesnt? - make sure toreference bookkeeping in your resume.Drivers are also great at time management. Rideshare drivers do not have the luxury of wasting time. As part of your bookkeeping duties, you should be logging your hours and earningsto identify trends you could leverageto maximize your earnings. Explain this to an employer, and they willlikely be wowed by your business acumen.5. MultitaskingAs every driver knows, multitasking correlates with profitability. At any given time, drivers are navigating busy streets, maintaining conversations, and keeping an eye on upcoming fares.Being able tohandle multiple tasks at once indicates to employers that you dont get flustered when the pressure is on. It also shows that you can stay organized and focused no matter what happens. Some employers look negatively at multitasking, preferring employees who focus on a single task at a time. If this is the case, reframe the conversation. Instead of saying you juggled multiple tasks at once, explain how you devised a ordnungsprinzip to stay organized so you didnt overlook anything.6. Recruiting Fellow Drivers - a.k.a., MarketingEncouraging your friends to drive for your favorite rideshare app has several perks. The most obvious one is earning a referral bonus. A less obvious benefit is how this skill can add value to your resume.Getting another partie to take part in the rideshare business shows that you are an influencer witha serious sales and marketing mindset. If you can convince others to start driving for a living, you are a talented salesperson indeed.Rideshare Resume ExamplesExample No. 1This first example uses a bulleted list that allows the reader (i.e., a hiring manager) to quickly scan your experience. The skills outlined here focus on the consumer-facing duties of a rideshare driver, as well as the business aspects. This example would be perfect for someone seeking employment in the customer service industry.Rideshare Driver May 2015 June 2018- Safely transported passengers to destinations across town.- Stayed level-headed during encounters with aggressive and inebriated passengers. Used laughter to de-escalate potential disputes.- Earned a 5-star driver rating by providing exceptional customer service.- Multitasked in a high-pressure environment. Tasks incl uded managing fares, navigating during heavy traffic, and maintaining customer satisfaction.- Maintained a clean vehicle and a professional personal experience.- Optimized positioning and schedule to reduce wait times and increase revenue.- Handled all financial records, including tax-deductible expenses, mileage, and earnings.Example No. 2This next example uses a paragraph format rather than bullet points. It focuses on efficiency and the business side of rideshare driving. The points made on this resume could be adapted for someone looking for a more white-collar job in an office environmentRideshare Driver August 2014 June 2018Successfully completed more than 300 trips while running my own business. Maintained a driver rating of 4.95 stars for approximately3 years. Achieving this rating required customer service, route planning, and organizational skills. As an independent contractor, I handled all operational duties associated with running a business. This includes bookkeeping and expense tracking. I also enhanced earnings by recruiting seven new drivers in one year.Note how this example provides quantified figures that enhance the resumes credibility. Creating a Targeted ResumeWhen youre drafting a new resume, do not hesitate to include the skills you learned as a rideshare driver. Keep in mind that your resume should focus on the information a specific potential employer wants to see. For example, if you want to become a truck driver, emphasize your ability to navigate well in new areas and stay level-headed during traffic jams. In a position like this, customer service skills might not be important to an employer. If thats the case, either omit the skill entirely or frame the skill in a way that is applicable to the employer. For instance, you could say that you maintained an exceptional rapport with Ubers support team. This shows that your people skills extend to your employers, not just your customers. If you are unsure of how your skills translate to a particular job, highlight universal skills like multitasking, being detail-oriented, and bookkeeping. It is important to think about how your skills as a rideshare driver transfer toa new workplace. When applying to multiple jobs, always review your resume and adapt it for each employer.- At the end of the day, remember that being a rideshare driver is nothing to be embarrassed about. You work hard. Being an independent contractor and remaining profitable takes a great deal of talent. The skills it takes to successfully be your own boss as a rideshare driver are transferable to all sorts of different careers.Your work history can also serve as a unique conversation starter. Most interviewers wont have experience working in the industry, so theywill probably ask questions about your time as a driver to break the ice. Capitalize on this opportunity by sharing specific, engaging stories from your rideshare work that demonstrate your valuable skills.Plus, being the only person with rid eshare experience can make you stand out. If you and another candidate are equally qualified, your experience as a rideshare driver may give you the winning edge - especially if you have a few really good stories to share.Brett Helling is the head of Ridester.Master the art of closing deals and making placements. June 2018 Jobs Report Summary
June 2018 Jobs Report Summary June 2018 Jobs Report Summary The U.S. economy delivered another solid month of job growth in June, with employers adding 213,000 positions. In fact, June was the 93rd consecutive month of job creation, a new record. Nearly 1.3 million jobs have been added since the beginning of the year, according to the most recent jobs report from the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS). This total reflects revised numbers from the agency for April and May, showing that employers added 37,000 more positions than previously reported. Over the past three months, job gains have averaged 211,000. Professional and business services led June job growth The BLS reported that employers in professional and business services helped fuel job creation last month, adding 50,000 positions. That industry has seen growth of 521,000 positions over the past year. Other industries making significant contributions to job growth in June were: Manufacturing - Employers expanded their payrolls by 36,000 jobs. Over the past year, manufacturers have added 285,000 jobs. Healthcare - This industry created 25,000 positions last month. Employment in healthcare has increased by 309,000 in the last 12 months. Construction - Employment in the construction industry edged up by 13,000 jobs in June and has grown by 282,000 jobs in the past year. Unemployment at 4.0 percent After hitting an 18-year low of 3.8 percent in May, the unemployment rate ticked up to 4.0 percent in June. The rise in the unemployment rate was due to an increase in the labor-force participation rate, which nonetheless remains at a historically low level. The unemployment rate for college-degreed workers who are 25 or older - the most sought-after professionals - also rose last month, to 2.3 percent. In May, the rate was 2.0 percent. What employers need to know Like most businesses, your firm is likely feeling the effects of summer. Employees are taking vacations, and the warm weather has pretty much everyone thinking more about lounging by the pool than staring at spreadsheets or marketing plans. But that doesnât mean work can be pushed to the back burner. And if there are critical jobs to be filled, hiring must go on. Engaging temporary staff is one way to keep your business humming. Interim professionals can cover staffing gaps while employees are out or while you conduct your search for a full-time hires. Also, be careful not to let summer distract you from planning for the end-of-year work crunch. Now is the right time to assess your firmâs hiring needs for the rest of the year and align the resources youâll need come fall. REQUEST STAFF What job seekers need to know If youâve just graduated from college, you might not need to wait long to secure a job offer. Unemployment is low not only for college grads but also in industries that typically require degreed-professionals, such as accounting, finance and information technology. Candidates with on-the-job experience often have an edge in the job market. For many, that means an internship or part-time work during college. But those arenât the only avenues for securing relevant experience. Temporary work is another great option. Interim employment offers a way to earn in-demand skills and experience while building your professional network. And summer is an ideal season to explore this option, as businesses often need extra support while full-time team members are on vacation. You have the opportunity to shine a light on your abilities and, potentially, earn a full-time job offer.

What to Consider Before Asking for a Voluntary Demotion
What to Consider Before Asking for a Voluntary Demotion What to Consider Before Asking for a Voluntary Demotion Sometimes a person takes promotion thinking it is a golden opportunity and the next logical step in a career, but after a while, it may become apparent that making the move wasnât the best idea. In that case, asking for a voluntary demotion may be a viable option. However, voluntary demotions come with potential negatives like reductions in salaries and loss of stature within the organization. These and other drawbacks to voluntary demotions can be avoided if the following options are explored beforehand. Adjustment in Job Duties If you are in a job where you do some things well and other things not so well, you may want to see if there are people on your team that have strengths where your weaknesses are. Perhaps you could trade a few of your responsibilities and thereby make the team more productive and individual team members happier. When you propose something like this, couch it in terms of benefit for the team and organization. This will show that youâre looking for a win-win situation for everyone rather than merely attempting to shed less desirable responsibilities. You can talk about the benefits for you, but that part of the conversation needs to happen after you discuss the impact to your team and organization. The conversation would be incomplete without addressing what brought the proposed change to your mind, but you must keep your audience in mind when you prepare for the conversation. It depends on the personalities within your team as to who to approach first. In many situations, it is best to approach your colleague first; however, your manager may want to be consulted before you bring up ideas about workload changes. When in doubt, talk to your manager first. Lateral Transfer If your organization has several positions you are qualified for, you may be able to request to be transferred to a vacant position that is classified at or below your current positionâs classification. If government organizations allow this, they adopt strict rules to mitigate the possibility of an employee accusing the organization of discriminatory personnel practices. Defending against any claim of discrimination costs time and money, so leaders of government organizations want to do anything practical that will lower the risk of being sued. If you request a lateral transfer, chances are that you will be able to keep your salary. If you transfer into a position at the same pay grade, presumably youâd be doing the same level of work. If you transfer into a lower classified position, you may be able to keep your salary if it falls within the range of the new position. But again, all this is is subject to the organizationâs rules governing transfers. A lateral transfer can be good for more people than just those considering a voluntary demotion. Gaining experience in a different part of the organization is beneficial for future promotional opportunities even if changing jobs doesnât come with an immediate financial benefit. Apply for Another Job If you canât find a position to transfer into, you might want to look at job postings. You can get out of your current job and likely receive a pay raise. And you may not have to leave your current employer. Some government organizations require a competitive hiring process for all vacancies. With these organizations, a voluntary demotion or lateral transfer may not be allowed. Like they do with transfer policies, organizations use the hiring process to reduce the likelihood that someone will sue the organization for unfair practices. Even if you do not get selected, going through the hiring process has other benefits. It helps you keep your resume up-to-date, sharpens your interview skills and allows you to meet new people.

10 Biggest Lies Advertisers Told You
10 Biggest Lies Advertisers Told You 10 Biggest Lies Advertisers Told You Advertising has to meet certain ethical standards. It is not allowed to blatantly mislead, or tell an outright lie. Most of the time, that system works well. It is self-governing when it has to be, and at other times, institutions like the FTC or the UKâs Advertising Standards Authority keep things in check. Lies slip through the cracks. Sometimes, the blame can be put squarely on the shoulders of the client, who told the ad agency information that was untrue. On other occasions, it can be poor communication or just outright deception. Here are 10 such examples, in no particular order, of those times advertising tried to pull the wool over everyoneâs eyes. Apple iPhone 3G: Twice as Fast, Half the Price In 2008, Apple released a brand new version of its flagship iPhone and made two claims in six words that made the entire nation sit up and take notice. The new iPhone 3G was double the speed of its predecessor, and cast half as much or does it? Apple customers quickly reported dropped calls, slow speeds, and a host of other issues. That made then âtwice as fastâ claim bogus. Then there was the price: the initial $399 fee was dropped to $199, but there was a catch; an expensive, 2-year contract catch. Appleâs lawyers were quick to point out that youâd have to be a fool to believe the ads verbatim. Apple never made those claims again. Enforma âExercise in a Bottleâ: Lose Weight Without Diet or Exercise Anyone who tells you that you can lose weight without adjusting your calorie intake and exercise regime is flat-out lying. In the 1990s, when Enforma brought in baseball player Steve Garvey to promote âfat trapperâ diet supplements that absorb the fat, people naturally refused to believe it, right? Wrong. It was all bogus, and the FTC took Steve Garvey to court. They lost the case as the appeals court ruled that he was not at fault for citing claims he was told were genuine. The case made way for new regulations making it illegal for celebrities to make false statements in advertising. Hoover Vacuums: Buy a Vacuum, Get Two Free Flights to the USA They do say that if something looks too good to be true, it is. People reading the small print on the Hoover offer, back in 1992, couldnât find the catch. Was this a $1,500 vacuum cleaner? Was this a gold-plated sucker? No, the deal was unbelievable but true; spend £100 on a vacuum cleaner, and you get two free flights from the UK to anywhere in America. Of course, the general public realized this was a steal, and Hooverâs sold out in record time. The company realized it had done some very bad math, and so it decided to pull an even worse stunt to follow the already awful promotion. It would send consumers on a wild goose chase, filling out form after form, until they eventually gave up. The charade was so bad, the British parliament stepped in, and the stunt cost Hoover over £48 million ($60 million). Nutella Spread: Healthy and Part of a Balanced Diet If youâve ever tried Nutella spread, youâll notice something as soon as it hits your tongue; itâs incredibly sweet. How could this delicious chocolaty spread be a healthy part of anyoneâs diet? Well, it couldnât. At least, thatâs what the $3 million settlement decided. The problem with the advertising is that it shows a busy mom choosing Nutella as the perfect breakfast snack (when served with multi-grain toast or whole wheat waffles). Trouble is, the only healthy part of the breakfast is the ânot Nutellaâ ingredient. Nutellaâs main ingredient is sugar, followed by palm oil, and then hazelnuts and cocoa. Skechers Shape-Ups: Get in Shape by Just Walking Around Skechers pulled out the big guns for this one. They brought in social media superstar Kim Kardashian to front the campaign. They produced a multi-million dollar ad that aired during the 2011 Super Bowl. They also pulled in big athletic names like Karl Malone, Wayne Gretzky, and Joe Montana. The message was clear - forget the gym, just walk around in a pair of Skechers Shape-Ups and youâll soon be in great shape. The claim was complete hogwash. The ads were full of huge lies to support this flat-out-wrong claim. Kim Kardashian did not get into the shape she was in by wearing Shape-Ups. You had to do way more than âjust tie your shoes.â And the medical studies cited were cherry-picked to support the false narrative. After a while, wearers of the shoes realized they had been taken for a ride. A $40 million settlement was announced, and people who bought the shoes were entitled to a refund. POM Wonderful: Cheat Death Yes; cheat death. That was the headline the ad agency and the client thought was going to sell a lot of the pomegranate drink. Why not? After all, who wouldnât want to live forever by drinking a few bottles of juice? The ad leaped over the usual âexaggerating the benefitâ boundaries and went straight for a complete and utter lie. POM Wonderful was not going to prevent anyone from cheating death. However, the lie was not considered to be the issue. Although it was obviously not true, it would make people think the drink had a lot of health benefits, and that was considered deceptive by the ASA. The ad was pulled. Classmates.com: Your Classmates Are Looking for You Sites like Facebook and LinkedIn are hugely popular because they allow people to connect from all over the world. Classmates.com offered the same kind of âreach out and touch themâ service but for a price. The advertising told you that someone, a former classmate, was looking for you. But to find out who that classmate was, youâd have to sign up for the gold membership. After signing up for gold and entering credit card details, it became quickly apparent that no one was looking for you at all. It was a complete fabrication used to sell monthly memberships. Classmates.com had to fork over almost $10 million in a settlement. Extenze Male Enhancement - Take Supplements, Increase Your Size Size matters, and the claims that Extenze and its spokesperson Jimmy Johnson made did not fall on deaf ears. The ads stated that Extenze supplements were âscientifically proven to increase the size of a certain part of the male body.â The FTC decided to step in because the language was not claiming âmayâ or âmight.â No, this stuff was scientifically going to work, and it didnât. And after a lot of time in court, Extenze had to pay out $6 million in a false advertising class action lawsuit. Vitamin Water: Drink This, Itâs Good for You Vitamins, whether taken as supplements or a part of a food or drink, they are essential for life. By that logic, a drink like Vitamin Water must be great for you. Itâs literally the combination of two of lifeâs vital ingredients - water, and vitamins. Add to that claims that it would âboost your immune systemâ and âhelp fight free radicalsâ and you really have one seriously healthy drink. But as it turns out, itâs just a fancy name. Itâs another sweet drink, with a typical bottle containing 120 calories and 32 grams of sugar. Coca-Cola, the makers of Vitamin Water, found it a little odd that people thought Vitamin Water was healthy. âNo consumer could be reasonably misled into thinking that Vitamin Water is a healthy beverage,â Coca-Colaâs lawyers stated. Soon after that, they settled a $9 million lawsuit. Wrigleyâs Gum: Chewing This Gum Kills Germs Bad breath is nothing to be proud of. Finding out that simply chewing a piece of gum would eliminate it was music to consumersâ ears back in 2009. But there was one small problem. The gum didnât kill germs at all. The gum, called Eclipse, was touted as a product that âkills the germs that cause bad breath.â It even had a name for the ingredient; MBE. But the National Advertising Division did tests on this magic ingredient, and could not replicate this germ-killing behavior. Wrigleyâs had to take the claims off the packaging and paid up $6 million in the settlement.

5 Job Search Tips When You Have No Work Experience
5 Job Search Tips When You Have No Work Experience 5 Job Search Tips When You Have No Work Experience If youâre a recent graduate or entering the workforce after an extended break, you know itâs a tough market for those with little to no applicable experience. Weâve previously covered how even entry-level positions are requiring in depth knowledge or hands-on skills just to get you through the interview door. Amassing that work experience that makes you a viable candidate can seem like a circular predicament with no solution in sight, but thereâs light at the end of the job search tunnel. Keep reading for five helpful tips on how to approach your job search when you have no work experience. 1. Target Entry-Level Jobs One of the best solutions for those with no work experience is often the most overlooked. Narrowing your job hunt criteria to positions marked as âentry levelâ can help you find positions for which you may be otherwise qualified with education, personality or overall background. Quality job sites will let you search for key works such as entry level, beginner, no experience required and more. Use filters to narrow positions to a given location or field and be sure to set up email alerts to help stay on top of the most recent relevant openings. 2. Focus on Your Other Positive Qualities While you may not have a great deal of on the job work experience, as a recent graduate you are likely chock-full of other positive attributes that may be attractive to potential employers. From education to extra curricular experience, savvy hiring managers and HR professionals know that itâs often the presence of soft skills that make for the best long term candidates. Consider reformatting the traditional resume or cover letter to call out skills and experiences that you may have developed in school or life generally. Being captain of a sports team indicates leadership and you should be sure to note if you coordinated team meetings, events or fundraisers. Writing skills are highly demonstrable with that position on the school paper. Debate, after school community involvement, self employment jobs such as dog walking, paper delivery and more all show off a variety of personality traits that may impress a potential employer and help snag that initial screening call or interview. 3. Consider an Internship While typically an unpaid position, snagging an internship in a relevant field is a great way to bulk out a resume and score some valuable work experience in the process. If you do manage to make it into one of these highly sought after positions, be sure to make the most of your time there. Show up before your scheduled start and perform just as well as if you were collecting a paycheck. In many companies and positions, internships are also chances for employers to vet potential long term employees ensuring a good work-culture fit. Regardless of whether you land a long term position, youâll have an increased resume and another rung on your experience ladder on which to build your career. 4. Do Good with Volunteer Work In a similar vein as internships, depending on your desired career path a volunteer position may be a great way to add valuable work experience that tips the scales in your favor during a later job interview. Volunteering your time for a local community organization or charity is a great way to demonstrate you have a bigger world view and understand the value of personal contributions in society. If your ideal company has a large, existing volunteer partnership with particular organizations, consider tailoring your volunteer efforts in that direction. Certain volunteer positions also provide hands-on experience that can be highly relevant such as legal workshops, project management and more. 5. Networking While we may have saved this helpful hint for last, thereâs no discounting the first rate value of networking when it comes to finding a job with little to no work experience. When a company is faced with a wealth of qualified and over-qualified candidates, a personal recommendation can often make the difference between being overlooked and brought in for that valuable in person interview. Professional social networking sites such as LinkedIn are great resources for finding like minded individuals in your target field. Check in with your schoolâs career services department as they will often also host events that pair established professionals with recent grads for mentoring and more. Consider joining a local professional association as a junior member. Dues will often be lower or waived for those straight out of school and youâll have an excellent opportunity to make relevant contacts and let your peers, and potential employers, get to know you one on one. The No Work Experience Bottom Line When it comes to entering the workforce for the first time, job-seekers need to get creative in order to compete with those that may have more practical knowledge. Use one or a combination of our above helpful hints to pad your resume and create alternative job-market entry ways. Most of all, persistence pays off. Keep building upon your education, practical skills and connections and before you know it youâll be well on your way to moving on up the workforce ladder.

These 10 Unique Employee Benefits Will Make You Re-Evaluate Your Job
These 10 Unique Employee Benefits Will Make You Re-Evaluate Your Job These 10 Unique Employee Benefits Will Make You Re-Evaluate Your Job Yeah, salaries are cool but have you ever tried a unique employee benefit or unusual perk? Today, employees consider them to be a stable part of their jobs. And whether they take a job can often depend on how attractive the benefits are. Today, every decent company offers their employees a wide range of perks. A gym membership, yearly vacation bonus, or free meals in a canteen are things that can lift ones spirits on a bleak day. But who wouldnât like to get something extra? Check out the selection of unique employee benefits that are simply out of this world! 1. Surfing at midday Patagonia is an eco-friendly outdoor clothing brand. It puts focus on active lifestyle, encouraging a healthy dose of sports during an ordinary workday. Its only natural that Patagonia would offer unique employee benefits that have to do with this mission. The company encourages their employees to head out at lunchtime to go surfing. The reception staff even makes daily announcements about the weather conditions! 2. Breast milk shipping Returning to work might be a real challenge, especially for breastfeeding mothers. But companies like Twitter, Accenture, IBM and Zillow decided to help them out. The companies pay for the lactating employees to ship their breast milk home to their babies. Theres no need to use formulas anymore! 3. Freeze your eggs Behemoths Apple and Facebook have recently added a new employee benefit to their repertoire. They will contribute up to $20,000 towards egg freezing for their female employees. Although generous, this offer has stirred up some controversy among businesswomen. Egg freezing indirectly puts female staff under pressure that could be summed up as Career first, children second. 4. Cryopreservation Rumor has it that if you get yourself frozen within minutes after your death, you have a chance to be resurrected once the scientists figure out how to do it. The freezing process - also called cryopreservation - is a benefit offered by Numerai, an AI-driven hedge fund. It was announced in a tweet with a job posting containing a cute footnote saying that the company cares about its employees beyond their legal deaths. 5. Pawternity leave Some companies out there do pay special attention to pet lovers. However strange it may sound to you, some people would rather die than leave their loved ones at home during a working week. And Im talking cats and dogs, of course. Imagine you adopted a dog. If working full-time, theres simply no time you could dedicate to your new four-legged friend.
